Enrollment Timeline

1. Submit Application
Applications can be submitted online or via paper application. All applications submitted through open enrollment (December 1, 2023 – February 28, 2024) will qualify for the lottery process. Applications submitted after February 28, 2024, will be offered admission in the order received based on seats available.
2. Track Application Status
All application updates will be sent via email. Be sure to check your email frequently for updates from PowerSchool and Atlanta SMART Academy

Application Form

Our priority enrollment for the 2024-25 school year runs from December 1, 2023 – February 28, 2024. All applications submitted within this window will be included in our lottery for fifth-, sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grade seats. Applications submitted after February 28, 2024, will be added to our waitlist in the order received and seats will be offered based on availability.

Our 2024-25 school year lottery will be held on Wednesday, February 29th at 2 PM via Zoom. The link will be emailed to applicants a few days before the event. Attendance is not required for the lottery process! Applications can be completed online or in person via scheduled appointments.

  • Students who are residents of Georgia may attend.
  • Open Enrollment for the 2024-25 school year, runs from December 1, 2023 – February 28, 2024. All applications submitted within this window will be included in our lottery for fifth-, sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grade seats. Applications submitted after February 28, 2024, will be added to our waitlist in the order received.

Submit an online application or complete a paper application and submit it in person to the front office.

Yes. For the 2024-2025 lottery, students who are siblings of current students, students accepted in the lottery, children of current board members, or full-time employees of Atlanta SMART Academy are given preference.

  • Results of the lottery, and wait lists by grade, will be available via email and posted to the Atlanta SMART Academy Website. It is the parent’s responsibility to ensure that Atlanta SMART Academy has the most updated contact information (phone, mailing address, and email address) for notification purposes.

All students who have been granted an available seat must complete all registration requirements by the Registration deadline or their seat will be forfeited.  

No. Once officially enrolled, all Atlanta SMART Academy students will remain enrolled for future years as long as re-enrollment is completed by the deadline
